Under the able guidance of our Academic Director , Ms Akansha Tandon, an Orientation Programme was organized on 17th March,23 for the parents of new admission at Vandana International School Sector 10, Dwarka. The aim was to familiarize the parents, 'as partners in progress' with curriculum, rules and regulations of the school and teaching methodologies. Co-scholastic activities were also discussed that gave the parents an idea of the curriculum which is self directed with hands-on learning activities that not only give our students a medium to fully utilise their creative talents and energies, but also help them in their all-round development. The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the parents followed by various performances by our students including Hanuman Stuti, Skit on holistic development, medley of different activities i e. skating, taekwondo, western dance etc. Welcoming the new set of parents to the new academic session, our Academic Director, Ms Akansha Tandon addressed the gathering in which she spoke at length about the benefits of effective communication between the teachers & the parents, she laid emphasis on a strong connection with the school patrons and also sought their support and suggestions so that the children could be provided the best for their overall development. It was followed by a session taken by the school Counsellor, Ms.Preeti Sinha, who guided the parents about various principles involved in the teaching of life skills. Overall it was a fruitful meeting and the parents were in high spirits after attending orientation programme. It also helped the parents in identifying suitable follow up methods to reinforce the learning process of their kids.
